My grandpa and grandma live in the same house on the same east Texas property that my grandpa has lived in his whole life. Sitting next to him on his swing as he recounted all his favorite parts of the property, I envisioned this video communicating the same warmth and nostalgia that I feel every time that I visit. I built this project in After Effects using photos and scraps from my grandparents’ house, along with textures and elements that remind me of them - like collected receipts and papers, and the ever-multiplying amount of teal home items.
