University of Dubrovnik

ROLE: GRAPHIC DESIGN LEAD, PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

In June 2025, I had the opportunity to travel abroad to Dubrovnik, Croatia with the Texas A&M University European Innovation program. This program was unique because rather than studying a specific topic, our team of 17 students collaborated with the University of Dubrovnik faculty members to develop a marketing proposal to boost enrollment in their English-speaking programs. With the university as our client, our team organized our deliverables into 5 separate categories to most efficiently meet their needs: videography, motion graphics, business analytics, social media, and graphic design, the latter I was team lead for. Not only did this program provide me with experience developing professionalism with international clients, but I also gained valuable project management skills as the Program Development Coordinator by managing and constructing the program itinerary for the month abroad.

Our challenge as the graphic design team was to develop 8 printed posters with digital components highlighting the English-speaking programs that the University of Dubrovnik offers to international students. Since previous posters lacked the engagement that the university marketing team desired, our primary goal was to renew and modernize the style to attract more students to these programs.

While leading the poster design group, I guided our team to a design style that both showcases the content in an eye-catching way, while simultaneously creating timeless posters that are sustainable for many years in the future.

We built the posters’ patterns and graphics utilizing the University of Dubrovnik’s classic U and D motif to create a cohesive brand connection across all of the posters, while also allowing each poster to highlight a specific department.

Because our team had such a limited timeline and communication with our client, another of our deliverables was to utilize Canva as a platform for future editing of the posters. I scaled each poster into 3 separate formats for the client to have control over future customization and greater accessibility to the product we created for them.
